Import Your Shifts In These 3 Easy Steps

Getng started with a new software solution can be difficult. At DigiQuatics we understand that and want to make the process as smooth as possible. That is why we built and designed the Shifts Importer in DigiQuatics. The Shifts Importer makes it easy to import 10's, 100's, and even 1000's of shifts into DigiQuatics with ease. If you are coming from an existing online scheduling tool its as simple as exporting your existing schedule into Excel or a CSV or if you are currently doing all of your scheduling in Excel, you are already ready to get started. Below we outline the steps about how to import your shifts into DigiQuatics.

Step 1: Navigate to the Shifts Importer

To get to the Shifts Importer, first click the "Scheduling" tab at the top of the navigation bar, then click on "Schedule."

Then on the Schedule page click the "grid" icon in the button menu to get to the Shift Importer page.

 

Step 2: Load your data

Next, you will see the shift importer grid / spreadsheet in DigiQuatics. From here you can either copy and paste cells, columns, rows, and other selections of data from Excel into the shift importer or type in the cells directly. We also have various cells directly linked to your account so you can easily assign a row to a particular employee, position, location, etc. Be sure to include all the required rows: Date, Start Time, End Time, Location and Position.

Pro Tip: The Shifts Importer can also be used to mass create shifts in DigiQuatics once your organization is already setup in the app.

Step 3: Import your shifts

The last step here is to click the "Import" button. DigiQuatics will now import your shifts, do a quick validation to check if any data is missing, and send you an email with the results. Your shifts should show up nearly instantly on the staff schedule but regardless you can expect them to appear within 5 minutes.

That's it! You have now migrated your staff schedule into DigiQuatics. As you can see, it is easy as can be to get your staff schedule into DigiQuatics. We also have easy-to-use importers for your staff / employee list and private lessons.
