Aquatic Interns: Job Description or Duties?

“For an aquatic intern, what type of job description or job duties they would perform? Or do you just go off of what the school offers?”

Answer 1:

A lot of schools require a special project to be completed. I try to find something that fits each student that we have, given our operation’s needs. Once was programming our water safety week for June. I had another intern the summer before who ran our family fun night program for summer and assisted with swim lessons as I was short a coordinator that summer. I had another who also helped plan and organize a state swim meet.

I’ve had several - mainly it’s off their curriculum requirements, then built out from there.
